La rotation rapide du rotor g\u00e9n\u00e8re un cisaillement \u00e9lev\u00e9, ce qui a pour effet de m\u00e9langer, d\u2019\u00e9mulsifier ou de broyer finement les particules. L\u2019espacement entre le rotor et le stator peut \u00eatre ajust\u00e9 pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment selon la cible de granulom\u00e9trie. Le moulin \u00e0 meule peut \u00eatre connect\u00e9 au m\u00eame \u00e9quipement et fait intervenir un rotor et un stator en pierre de corindon, permettant un broyage tr\u00e8s fin.
